What is my car's problem?? HELP!

OK, here's the deal... (This might get kinda long so I will warn in advanced)

I recently ran a 13.7 @ 101 and a 2.0 60 foot with my mods
(Hot Cam Kit, CAI, Headers, Catback, 52mm TB, Programming, 3.73, and some suspension and more basic mods (see my page))

I thought the programming was the cause of my problems, so I sent out for a PCMforless PCM, and stepped down to a 3.42 gear cuz i almost destroyed the 3.73s.

So I ran again at the track, this time running a best of 13.9 @97 MPH with a 2.0 60 foot.

I understand loosing a little bit for the gears, but come on... I'm still running times of that of a STOCK camaro.

So I asked for help in the drag racing section, and I asked some of the better mechanics in my area. The things they suggested I look at this time were my fuel system and my valvetrain.

Well, the valvetrain was pulled apart, perfectly fine. No bent pushrods or bad lifters or anything like that.
Then we check the fuel system, took off the filter, everything flowed fine. Put on a fuel pressure gauge, everything was normal, not loosing any pressure at high RPMs (which is where my power loss "feels" to be happening)

The car has no pull. I honestly felt more of an increase in power when my CATBACK was installed over my cam kit with programming and headers.

Where else could my problems possibly be? What should my next move be? I'm getting desperate and frusturated here. My car SHOULD be about a second faster than it is. Any ideas or discussion would be greatly appreciated. thanx again.

miles

How many miles om your car, second check your compression on each cylender,3 get it dynoed, maybe the tuning is a little off.... bryan is not always perfect maybe your air fuel ratio is a little lean.

Get it to a shop where the vehicle can have the air/fuel ratio checked, and ignition system integrity verified.

The car has 77K miles on it and is mostly driven on the weekends, it's not really a daily driver anymore.

A lot of people tell me to get it dynoed and check the AFR, but can that really make a SECOND worth of a difference? I thought with tuning I would only see a few tenths? Either way I would still be far off from where my car should be.

Bryan's tuning is the second tuning on my car. The first program i had done was by www.bvperformance.com We originally thought my times were due to a programming issue, however, when I switched to Bryan with no better results, we figured the problem was that something was going bad or failing.

I also replaced my LT4 KM for the stock LT1 KM that came with Bryans program because mine became damaged and faulty. Would that make any difference either?

still think

I still think your air fuel ratio is jacked up and yes get an lt4 km again...... trust me its better than taking the long route, second it is the cheapest way so far you will spend 100 dollars on tune and dyno, then if there cool they will check the airfuel ratio and tell you if you need it..

Please dont get mad if i make a few simple sugggestions? You still have a catylitic converter? Is it red after you are done driving, maybe it is blocked, cause my dad has a buick that had one that was clogged but not enough to be super noticeable (like surging, stumbling). How about you air filter? (you have a CAI which means cleaning that filter is a PITA) Maybe you should get a scanmaster or a tech scanner (my dads friend has one-gotta love those retired GM mechanics )and see if you are getting any knock or wierd sensor readings. I am not trying say this has to be what is wrong but maybe a few things for you to check. Good luck in finding your prob, you WILL get it fixed eventually.

I am having the same problem man!!!!!!!

I just recently ran a 14.098 and have the following mods:

CAI
B&B exhaust
SLP 1'3/4" shorties
subframe connectors
air foil (the thing in the throttle body)

By the way it was 86 degrees out....which hurts...but shouldn't be that slow......o yea and it was cooled off to about 165 degrees when i ran.....so it's not cause the engine was to hot

my 60' was 2.076 too........my tires are very bad too.

my friend ran a 14.4 stock at like 175 degrees and about 78 outside.....and he is close to me and is just stock....i am getting worried

What should i do?????

Some logged data of a run or two would be a good way to see what is going on.
