What are the most important suspension mods?

I plan on redoing my whole suspension front to back next year. I'm probably gonna go with BMR sway bars, sfc, lca, ph rod and torque arm. What I'm not sure about is new shocks and springs. Are these worth doing? I already like the ride height and road manners on my Z. I'm really not into lowered vehicles either. What kind of benefits can I expect from a new set of shocks and springs? One last thing, If I decide not to get springs do I still need to get lca brackets for the lca's? Sorry for all the questions I want to get this right the first time.

i think it depends on what you want. do you want faster 1/4 mile times,or a car that can go around a course and handle well?

I'm looking for a faster 1/4 mile e.t. I don't run any road courses so that area is not my may concern.

Bilstein HD's have the same manners as Decarbons except when u push them you can really feel the improvment.. but they are worse for your 60foot times in the 1/4.. Get some Koni or Hal adjustables for the rear if u want good 1/4 mile times and improved handling by adjusting them but it seems that the bilstein hd's will still perform better than the adjustables..

The HD's are meant for your stock springs too so no lowering required.

a 32 or 35mm front sway bar will also not be good for 60 foot times but man does it feel awesome in a corner.

you dont need lower control arms until u get wheel hop.. If u have wheel hop get LCA's.
U dont need relocation brackets unless your cars lowered. But if your car is not lowered relocation brackets will help your 60ft times.

SFC just makes the car feel alittle more firm, gets rid of some of your rattles and squeeks, helps prevent leaking t tops. Didnt notice any gain in the way of performance..

Panhard rod.. pick one up for 50-75 bucks on ebay.. helps keep your rear in place... better handling and better launching "theoretically" but you probably wont feel any difference..
Torque arm... My stock one cracked... i went with a stock edelbrock replacement ($160). Poly tranny mount, much stronger. The car maybe hooks up just a tad better than the stock one but at least i know it wont break. Get an adjustable torque arm if u really want better 60 foot times (expensive $450)

im not too sure about the front, but for the rear i went with spohn LCA's and torque arm. I personally like the desighn of the spohn torque arm because it comes with a driveshaft safety loop and it no longer mounts to the back of the tranny.....i dodnt get a chance to test this at the track before i sold it, but the car definatly felt stiffer, and im sure if i had better tires it would have launched hella harder. the only prob is that spohn stuff is expensive.

1)Spohn Torque Arm

2)BMR Boxed LCAs

3)Subframe Connectors

then springs, shocks, sway bars, strut tower braces, panhard rod...

can sumone also give me suggestions...so far i have bmr sfc and lca.my question is also about shocks and springs..i have the c5 18" back 17" front and right now it handles baddd.i need to lower it and was looking into the hal shock and front spring package.does anyone know how much drop is with those front springs i think its 1.7 but not sure.i do care about handling and cornering but not doing any road courses more like 1/4 mile but its 80%street.any input would be awsome as to what to do.i dont have any experience in shocks or drop springs so i dunno how much of a drop is neccessary.2"is to much.

Thanks for all the info guys. I think I'll concentrate on lca's, ph rod and torque arm.
