94 z28 with slp mid lenght headers, flowmaster 3'' catback and a cold air intake. what mods can i do myself that don't cost me any money.

I agree. Tons of posts have been made before regarding this subject. You'll find everything you're looking for and more.

 

Do a search for the throttle body bypass mod and the ICM mod. Both those are free and have made some small, proven gains.

 

why do so many people on here just want to send you on a search instead of just helping out? if you want to be so impersonal then why bother to reply at all? i mean there's only so many things you can talk about on LT1 Camaros and i'm sure 99% of them have been brought up before, so what would be the point of discussing anything? i'm sure you could find it in a search. i'm new here and i'm not trying to offend anyone, but that's just the impression i have gotten so far.

 

throttle body coolant bypass, descreen maf, relocate ignition coil to cooler place or put washers between the block and it, to allow heat to escape. air scoop under the left front fender to feed in colder air to your cai filter. much like this

 

The air scoop is a pretty interesting mod.. does that reduce your ground clearance at all, or does it run pretty flush with the radiator air damn deflector?

 

it runs flush. never had a problem with the rain, debris or anything....yet. i think for the fall i am going to put a screen in it.

 

Weight reduction is the best free mod.

That thing would be GREAT for scooping up cats, and little children. I mean really, if you dont like the way I drive, stay off the sidewalks
