What misc. parts are needed for rockers & valve spring swap?
I've searched around a bit, and have run across all types of threads referencing how to swap out valve springs, but I wanted to get a complete listing of the parts (and part numbers if you have them) to install a set of 1.6 rockers.
So far I know you need the rockers themselves and the springs, but my question is, is one required to get new retainers, locks, shims, spring seats, etc.
My plan is to go with a set of quality NSA rockers (either Crane or Comp Cams) so I know that I will need guideplates and hardened pushrods, but what other miscellaneous parts will I need? Also would any of these parts generally be included with the new springs, or do they have to be ordered seperately?
Many thanks.

Stock pushrods in 94 LT1s are hardened.
With a stock cam you can use GM LT4 springs. Use the stock seats, just buy springs (12495494 ), retainers (10212808) and locks (12495503). Double check these part numbers.

Re: What misc. parts are needed for rockers & valve spring swap?
Thanks Bud. I was leaning towards the LT4 springs since they seem to be the cheapest out there.
My engine was actually replaced by the previous owner with a GM Goodwrench LT1 longblock that had a build date (on a sticker on the block itself) of September 2000. I would assume that the internals of my engine would match whatever the later models were getting. Does anyone know if the 97's have hardened pushrods?

If the engine has high mileage, you may want to replace the valve seals while you're there. They aren't expensive and the stock GM seals work well. There's a different seal for the intake vs the exhaust.

Thanks to all for the info. I ordered all of the necessary parts, and am going to follow shoebox's guide for the install, which I will probably do next weekend. I'll report back how it all turns out.
As for the valve seals, The engine only has about 35K on it, but what the heck, it's cheap insurance so I'll probably go ahead and do it when everything is out of the way.

I haven't seen Shoebox's install guide, but there's a good one at http://www.streetillusionsracing.com/RR/rr.htm
