Are you getting high idle or just crappy idle ?

I've got some things I could try on the TB depending on whats going on to help with the IAC counts

Neither shannon, but ever since i switched to the new TB, my BLMs split pretty bad. I used to be able to run them fairly close together, and have an at idle IAC of 25ish. Now i am running a 25ish IAC, with BLMS of 126/151 at idle .

If i close the blades any farther the IAC count will skyrocket. However i have not yet verified that the BLMs will pull together the way i want them to if i close the blades more, they may split even more, which would my fix problem as long as the IAC doesnt bottom out at 0.

The other thing, if i get the BLMs pulled together by closing the blades, can i just drill out the IAC hole a little bigger?

Supposedly max counts are 255, but I have never seen any near that high on my car. Maybe about 140-ish is the highest I have seen, mostly in open loop and certain conditions with engine cool.

The higher the IAC counts are at idle, the less "range" you will have during driving when the counts normally go up.

The GM Service Manual for a 94 gives a typical data value range of 5-50. That's where I got 50 from.

As I researched further I found It's range to be 0-255. Shoebox is right as usual.

Rough idle when cold.

Guys,

I am suddenly having a problem with rough idle when cold. I haven't done any work lately. I also have an oil leak that just started. It looks like the front main seal and maybe the intake manifold but I haven't confirmed yet.

I suspect a vacuum leak but can't tell for sure. Can you guys tell me if the freescan readings indicate any possible problems. The IAC looks high. Once the car warms up (5 minutes) or sooner if I punch it, the car idles fine. I have 2 sets of readings, engine cold (rough idle) and engine warm (idles fine).
