What makes Comp R lifters better than OEM?

Basically what makes the cop r lifters better than OEM lifters.

OEM is rated to take up to 155 ft lbs of seat pressure.

Some one give me a summary

I dont know any specs like seat pressure, but I do know that there not gonna "pump up" like a factory lifter can at high rpm.

I was told that one main difference is that the plunger has less travel so it's sortof like a hydraulic lifter that acts more like a solid lifter. And for some reason that makes them noisier.

Have you prices OEM lifters?? I paid $20 more for the "R" lifters(GP) than I did for stock replacements from Advance Auto parts.

so if they act like more like a solid roller shouldnt you get more power?
The OEM lifters cost 169 dollars
I came across a new set of Comp R's for 165 dollars
Normally i see the comp r's for 250 bucks or so.
What do you consider high rpms?
Most of use with cams rev 6300-6500.

I thought it'd be interesting to bring up this subject since no one ever talks about lifters or if there is performance value out of lifters... not just integrity value.

The spring tension is slightly higher, lessening the possibility of valve float and vacuum loss at higher RPM. I switched them out from my stock Lfiters, which were worn, and they made a noticeable difference.
