It's a little computer chip in a module that plugs into your PCM. LT4 KM = LT4 knock module. It replaces the factory LT1 knock module, and is less sensitive along with offering better true knock sensing capability. Costs ~$30 and is worthwhile mod.

 

what does it help

 

Gives a better, truer knock readout for you pcm, often saving you a few degree of false knock retard, thus giving a couple extra horsepower.

 

easy to install, and where do i get it

 

any chevy dealer can hook you up with one.i recomend jason cromer.very easy to install.2 bolts to take the computer out of the corner of the bay.then you ll see a small panel in the center of the computer with two torx screws,take them out cover comes off and you just unclip the module.install is reverse.

 

Easy. Two bolts out of the pcm to remove the cover. Take out old one, put new one in. Takes 10 minutes.
