Question What is the largest tire size I can put on a 17 x 9 rim?

Just as the topic says. I am gonna get some Nitto Extreme Drags & I like the way the 315/35/17 tire looks on a car I saw today....

Thanks
Eddie

Yup you can fit them on a 9 inch. My buddy had them on his 9 inch rims for awhile. Bulged on the sidewall, but looked awesome. His burnout prints were solid too, so the tire didnt bulge up in the middle as some say it will.

Recently he switched to an 11 inch rim, whoa, looks even better

Thats b/c they never made any Only way to go 11 inch is get a custom wheel made by fiske, weld, HRE etc.

OR

The only cheap solution is the ZR1 rims, which come in the grand sport offset. You should be able to pick up a set of those for 800-1000 bucks (17x9 in front, 17x11 rear) depending on finish, brand new. Ebay they go cheaper.

If you want to keep the WS6 look, you can widen the wheel if you have the money. Been done before.

Before you go sending yours out, make sure to read that link closely. Doing it with stock offset means pretty big fabrication work on the car to get them to fit.
