Question What kind of power should I throw down??

I'm going to be dynoing my car this spring once it comes out of storage but in the mean time, I'm getting anxious to know what I will put down on the dyno. My car is a 97 WS6 (M6) with about 45,000miles on the clock and I run mobil 1 5w30.

Here are my mods,
1) Throttle body bypass
2) K&N filter
3) Mac ceramic coated headers and y-pipe(94-95 single cat style)
4) Mac ceramic coated off-road pipe
5) Borla Cat-back
6) Taylor OVC wires w/ NGk TR55 plugs
7) LT4KM

I'm also going to be getting a OBDI conversion from MADz28.com with custom tuning and AIR! and EGR! as well as motive 4.10's if that changes anything?

So what should I expect? How much would 1.6RR help and how hard are they to install? Should I use 1.7RR's? Don't want to touch the cam or heads yet but I might in a year or two.

Thanks for your time!

i would guess 270-280rwhp.
the only power mods you have are
headers/orp/catback
ditch that KN filter and get a CAI

1.6 rockers should net you 15-20rwhp

So ditch the factory ram air??? What brand of CAI should I get and what kind of power should I pick up from that? Right now, I'm shooting for 300RWHP, can I do it with a CAI and the mods I currently have or do I need roller rockers to reach my goal? If I do need rr's, what is the best brand to get and what other parts will I need?

No, keep the Ram Air! I think the other guys only noticed the K&N filter and didnt see that it was a WS6.

If you think 1.6 RR will gain 15-20 rwhp you're on dope or something. They're good for a few ponies (~5 rwhp) at the rear and and about 100 more rpm. I'd say around 290 rwhp w/ that setup.

Yeah, lol. I didn't see that it was a WS6. Nevermind my comment. Keep the ram-air.

I will let ya know after sat. Im dynoing mine and it is almost the same mod wize .
94 T/A
mac headers , off rd y pipe , eldebrock cat back , LT4 KM , moroso cola air induction , MSD wires , so almost the same .
My car does run VERY rich so I don't think I will be near the 300 mark , If I get 275 I will be happy .....

Stock vs Stock a 97 WS6 will dyno 25-30 rwhp more than a 94 Z. So that's not really a good comparison. Most dynos I've seen for stock 96s and 97s are around 270 rwhp, bone stock.

Thats not true. Most LT1's range from 235-250rwhp stock. So you are saying just cause its a ram air it will have 25-30rwhp more? No way.

Not cause it's a Ram Air, but because it is a 96 or 97. They had minor improvements that gave them more power over previous LT1s. They had slightly better flowing heads and dual cats, those are the two main differences in the power between the years. Also the WS6 had a less restrictive intake worth a couple ponies over a non ws6, but that is almost negligible.

But I must note that once you do a complete exhaust, the differences are smaller, but the 97s still make a little more power than the 94s.

The difference in a 94 Z and a 97 Z is only 10 crank hp. One was rated 275 and the other was 285. Not that much of a difference.

Id say somewhere around 270-280 should be an accurate guess
