I ordered a k&n fipk, 160 stat, and a tune from madz28.com, on average what do you think I will gain in horsepower and time in the 1/4?, my last time was 13.91 @ 98mph

I would think you would be lucky to gain .1 in the 1/4 w/ only a computer reprogram (nearly stock engine so no need for it) and a 160 t-stat. I have heard that the t-stat is good for hp, which makes sense cuz a colder engine > hotter engine... but you cant expect for cooling your car down to be more then 2-5 hp which you would probably not even feel (might see a little at track).

hard to estimate for each persons car really. I mean with your 60' being stock I'd think you would run better ET and trap speed but everyones car is a little different. The average I'm been able to consolidate is roughly 1/10th p/10 rwhp. A good CAI should give you at least 7-9 rwhp maybe a tiny bit more (don't believe their advertised 14 it's just that, advertisement, about like fishing lures), the tune well I have no idea what your having specified so it's hard to say, but the stat isn't really going to make anything noticeable except while your moving. Our cars run hot and at a light unless you do a fan mod it's going to go back up to the norm 210, so probably won't not notice any difference in hp unless you do a fan switch to keep the temp down consistently.

Sounds like you have a good list of boltons already started especially with headers, not sure if those are longtubes or not but still. Overall I'd be guessing but about a 10th with the CAI and who knows on the tune, again it depends.

good luck.

13.9?

Shouldnt you be running higher already? With headers, y pipe, and a ~2800 stall I would think you would be running faster than 13.9... Stock most cars run 13.9s to 14.1's granted those are m6's and you are an a4. Any other input on this?

well how much gain does people get with headers and a cai? i see most cars with only these two bolt ons running anywhere from a 13.6-14.0, my car went 14.4 stock and 13.9 with headers and a stall, im thinking im running real rich because im pushing more out and not getting enough in, so shouldnt the cai lean my car up some?

i would say .1 to .05........if you were running to your full potential originally.(this is without tuning) With tuning i would say probably 30hp and .2 in 1/4, depending on how lean you go.

did you have traction problems at all? ive been told that with headers, cat back, a decent sized stall, and nittos on the rear i could break 12's... but thats with a ~3500 and nittos, which would probably help alot for the 60 ft times.... did you mention what your 60 ft was?
