What kind of Intake to Get (Help wanted from Firebird/Trans am guys thanx)

First of all I don't know where to post this question but I decided to post it there since it's engine related. My car is bone stock and I am trying to get some performance mods for her. I am not sure what kind of Intake to get. So far I looked at Moroso CIA, SLP CIA, K&N FIPK and Lingenfelter SuperTube Cold Air Induction. Which one do you guys Recommend?. Thanx for all the help in advance.

I have a morosocai and have nor problems or complaints about it. if you want dress up you might want something else as it is a black plastic tube, but I like the heat shield plate that blocks hot engine bay air from getting to the filter.

I went with the Lingenfelter because it was the cheapest $145 shipped. It was a great choice though because the K&N Filter that comes with it is the "Giant" conical one -- it is fricken' huge. The Moroso one is tiny compared to this one. Lingenfelter's is also probably the ugliest, but hey just armorall it and no one will ever notice. Moroso is much better looking.

Got the Lingenfelter. I forgot how much it cost but it was pretty cheap and they seem like pretty good people...Yes its not the best looking out there but it does a good job and it does have a HUGE K&N filter

I've got the LPE supertube as well, only $135. Does the exact same as all those higher dollar ones.

Ligenfelter is the cheapest and not much different from the moroso or K&N....stay away from the G2 piece.

Thank you guys for the replies. After reading pntballty reply i looked in the intruction for the Moroso. And I read about relocating the Headlamp door module. I removed up duct before never saw this. Is it with the peice that comes up from bottom of the car and then connects to the air box. Just wondering. All the firebird guys out there please help me out thanx.

Yeah you'll see it. I just pushed mine out of the way into the fender a bit.

Re: What kind of Intake to Get

Another for Lingefelter the Gods of the Chevy 350. The filter is the largest in a CAI kit on the market. Comes with instructions guiding an already easy install. No problems getting the filter on like the SLP's sometimes do. Larger filter than the Moroso and K&N or SLP. Much less cost wise than all the others. IMO the best CAI out for our cars right now. Lingenfelter rates it as 12rwhp gain bone stock and up to 25rwhp gain on a modded engine (They used their 383 stroker). Many folks have picked up 3 tenths from it. I highly recommend it, not many people in the local F-body groups have Lingenfelter ones. None of the F-body guys around here had even heard of it and gawked at the oversized filter, envying it over their mini K&N & Moroso & SLP ones. Although for looks I think the SLP might be better. K&N looks the worse with its textured look. I also think Lingenfelter's tube design is a bit less retrictive than the others. If you can find it, there is a magazine review on it from the early 90's. It had a ton of info in it.

Good luck, I spent about a year deciding and doing research and the LPE one is the result. Although you cant really go wrong.
