Hi i am going to be purchseing some 4.10s for my car and i dont have a dam clue what kind of gears to buy whats good pluses minus thanks for any info

 

Motive and Strange gears are good.
Richmonds whined in every car I've driven, including mine. There are a few other manufacturers, but Motive is what I would recommend.

 

Why 4.10 on a A4? If this is your daily driver it will drive you crazy on the hi-way. 4.10 would be better on a M6 car. Alot of board members use 3.73 or even 3.42 on a A4 car that are there daily driver. Also go with GM gears which you can find in the 4 sale section, or even ebay.

 

Yes, I would recommend 3.73s in an automatic as well. (I have 4.10s in mine but it's not a daily driver)

There are no "GM" 4.10 gears available for our cars. It's sold under the Motive brand.

 

I have Richmond gears and was wondering why they are so noisy. I have been told they are stonger than Motive. Is that true? I do not mind the noise if it comes with added strength.
