Exclamation What kind of exhaust should I get?

I'm trying to decide on what kind of exhaust I should get. I like the stock sound my Z28, but I'd like something a little louder. I was reading some threads on the Magnaflow and the Hooker cat backs. Is there anything else out there compariable to those for around the same amout of money? I also saw on ebay awhile back the stock, rectangular exhaust tips, but they were stainless. Is there a website that sells them, or is that something I would have to find on ebay again? I would like keep my car looking stock with those tips, but a better cat back exhaust. Just looking for some suggestions. Thanks for any replies, Tyler

Slowmasters are junk if you are looking for anykind of performance. Hooker or magnaflow are your best choices. I went magnaflow because it's stainless. Hooker is not.

Where is the cheapest place I could buy a magnaflow exhaust? How hard would it be to install? Does it bolt right up or is there some welding required? Thanks for your replies, Tyler

flowmaster, hooker and magnaflow are 3 main low priced catbacks out there i believe. slp is slightly more expensive and you have to get this "kit" that you have to pay extra money for. im pretty sure hooker and magnaflows are just bolt-on also becuase my flowmasters were. just use clamps or you can also get them welded on. mine are just fine clamped on. 3 of those catbacks should be around 300 or so.
and as for the rectangular tip, i am not sure if they have the right sizes that will fit the catback you are gonna get. but i heard it effects the tone of the exhaust. not too sure tho.

its easy to install. i did it with my friend using a jack and jackstands. but you have to be careful. taking the older system requires more work than putting in the new catback because the bolts might be rusted and you have to cut off the stock intermediate pipe with like sawall.
