What kind of battery is everyone using??

I tested my battery and alternator today because I've had a continuious problems with my battery crappin out after about 5 mins of any type of draw. My alt is puttin out 14.43 , but when my engine is not running my battery only reads 12.37. My car seems slow to turnover when starting up also. Is it that I'm running too weak of a battery? Should I up the CCA's ??? I got this Batt from Advance Auto Parts about a year ago. What size and brand have you all had the most luck with?? Thanks for the info

lol, car batteries are supposed to read 12v when the car is not running. That's why it says "12v" on the battery, hehe. But anyway, Optima yellow tops are frickin awesome, I've heard the red tops are also good. What I would try before changing out your battery is hooking your battery up to another car, as if you were going to jump start it. Leave your car off, but start the other car up and let it charge your battery for a long *** time. Unhook it and see if you get the same occasional starting problems. Hell, it's free to try.

Better yet, drive to Autozone or where ever and have the battery and alternator tested for free.
