I remember reading awhile ago that there are some intake manifold gaksets that have bigger port openings for ported heads. I did a search and nothing came up, does anyone have a part #?

 

my felpro gaskets were opened up pretty good. that's how the guy that ported my heads/intake ported them. used the gasket and went from there.

 

I could be wrong but i remember reading that places like AI don't increase the actual port size. I recomend the use of original GM intake gaskets. They're a little thicker then most aftermarket ones and if your heads have been milled and block decked you might need that little extra to make a proper seal.

 

I'm not asking if the ports are bigger than stock gaskets, the roof of my port is slightly higher than the gasket, so I need gaskets with bigger port openings.

 

Anyone, I need to order the gaskets ASAP

 

dude i just replaced all gaskets on my 95 z28 i also switch my heads witch also have bigger ports the best gasket set i found was the felpro set

Do a search for LT4 race gasket.

 

Measure your ports. Some gaskets have the size written on the package.

 

If you run LT4 heads then the part number for the larger port intake gaskets from GM is: 12367777
If you have LT1 heads, they'll still work, however the plastic pins will not locate so you'll have to yank them out and use some sealant to hold them in place while placing the intake on the heads.
If the dealer you use is cool then they may let you take one and test fit it onto your head to see if it'll clear (or just draw a template and take it into the dealer).
You'll have to order two. They don't come in a set... at least from GM.
