What intake for a blown stroker w/ wet kit?

Basically I have been accumulating engine, power adder, suspension, drivetrain, etc. parts over the years ... Will probably finish the car in a year or two ...

I have the D1SC kit, and NX Wet Kit, and a mess of other parts laying around.

I found a nice deal on a single plane conversion ...

But ... would I see any benefit using a single plane, versus ported stock LT1 intake - if its going to be on a 600+ RWHP BLOWER car with a 100-200 shot of N20?

I wonder if boost makes the extra cost of a single plane conversion kind of pointless?

End goal is too have a car similar too Call911 or RSKrause's vehicles.

Thanks guys,

Joe

Most likely a 383.

May not do an overbore if I could get away with it. I'm not sure if I could find an LT1 block laying around though that was never used or able to just be honed...

Oddly enough many people say don't worry about it - its a waste of money on a blower car. But the more I read, the people who say don't worry about it - never used one.

There are quite a few guys who lost a little to nothing down low (who cares, who races below 3000RPM's ... ?) but made SERIOUS gains from 4000RPMs up. This was with no other changes - using the same throttle body. It was a LE ported LT1 intake versus a LE ported Super Vic I believe ... gains of 70+ RWHP and TQ.

That said, I am probably going to bite the bullet and spend the money to do a single plane conversion ...

I've been told the LT1 is sufficient, and of course the single plane will work.
You may get more answers in the Forced Induction sect. right above this one.

Not to get off topic but I have a spare block that the machine shop I use was able to clean up the cylinders with just de glazing so still std bore, it did need a line hone as a couple of main bearings went bad. But they are out there if you are really looking for one.

Encouraging to hear.

It seems like there is a great many guys with 100K+ Mile tear downs that still have HONING MARKS on the walls. So I may luck out here. I think I am going to pick a block up in the fall and shoot for having my short block ready by spring. Then will get heads/intake taken care of once I build a bullet proof bottom end.

Back to the topic though : I did search for it in both LT1 tech and Forced Induction. LT1 Tech has more traffic so a faster response was more likely here I thought ...

Don't like talking about my projects before they are complete. But I am going to use an LT4 intake on mine with the same blower, D1SC but no spray. I've asked a couple of time about going with a sheet metal manifold and been told it won't be necessary, with the blower!! We'll see. Oh, and it's 414ci.
