Exclamation what the heck??? someone go try this....

This may be dumb to some of you but i was just currious what some of you think it might be.

when i got home today, i paked, set the ebrake and put the car in N clutch out (its and M6). I then slowly brought it up to about 5500rpms. whats weird is around 4k or so the speedo started moving. It got up to about 22 mph at 5500 rpm.
Whats going on?? I thought i understood how these this work, i swear the output shaft has to move to register MPH. does this mean i am adding mile to my car when i rev it? hehe...that sucks

someone go see if there car does this...

My a4 does it when I start the car in park, but then you can't really consider my car to be very close to stock.
