What the heck is going on with my M6 tranny?

Hey guys the other day I was shifting into 5th gear and my tranny allowed me to go into reverse, which obviously caused it to grind. It hasn't done that again recently, but now its extremely hard to shift into reverse, I have to smack it into reverse. It also seems that when power shifting it requires a lot more effort to get it into gears. Normal driving is unaffected. Why would my tranny allow me to shift into reverse at 50 mph and why is it messed up now. Thanks guys. By the way it never went entirely into reverse at 50, just grinded. Thanks

There's a reverse lookout that may be damaged.

Are you saying that when you shifted to reverse that it made it harder to shoft into all the gears?

we can just forget about that part, it may be mental. But the main issue is now it has to be jammed into reverse, any clues?

also, the reverse lock out is working fine now, just that freak incident.

Bent Shift Fork... Common on these things.. And your reverse lock out dind't work that time.. thats what it sounds like to me.. And if its a little tougher to go into all gears.. Clutch could be going south on ya too

woo-hoo, I'm glad everything didn't go wrong in my tranny at once I hope that its not that big, but I'm thinking that it is.
