What header bolts are everyone running with jet-hot lt's?

I just ordered my headers and i was curious as to what bolts everyone is running with the jet hots. I have read in another thred that if you dont use they bolts they send you with them, then you have to modify either the bolts or the headers to make them fit. I was looking at the Breslin locking bolts also. I just want something that will fit without modification and not loosen. I was also looking at the stage8 locking bolts off of thunderracing, is anyone running with these on jet hots. And then of coarse there are the ARP, what about these? I will definitely be wanting to get 1" bolts. Thanks for any info.

Just normal 1" SBC header bolts. Tighten them a few times in the first week or 2 of driving then never look back. Why spend $30+ on bolts when the $10 work just as well

header bolts

I bought the breslin locking header bolts for a small block chevy, they have that locking allen head. i tightened them once and haven't looked back. The only downside is they are $$$

I have used the stock bolts that came with the Jet-Hot's and have had "0" problems.

I used arp 3/4'' bolts with no problem, i dont think it makes that much difference. Your gunna have to re-tighten any non-locking type a few times before they stay snug.

Not too bad on clearence... I had to use an open end wrench to get most of mine... infact I just played with mine on Friday, put new header gaskets and dipstick in.

Note: the Mr. Gasket Copper Header gaskets SUCK!!!!! I had 6 out of the 8 cylinders leaking, the only 2 that sealed were #1 & #2 cylinders.

I have always used stage 8 bolts with my macs and currently with my jet hot lt's. Stage 8 are awesome bolts, but you can't use hte locks on like 4 of the bolts because the jet hot primary tubes are so big! I even tried dremeling down the edges ofthe remaining lock clips with no luck. but anyway, one vore for stage 8 here.

That is what i was afraid of. I figured that there were some bolts that wouldnt work due to the large primaries. Thanks man.

Has anyone had any problems with the fel pro gaskets?

I used ARP 1" hex head bolts. Was told Stage 8 wouldn't work due to 1 3/4" tubes being so large.

Get the ARP 400-1209's..they are 1" long with a 5/16ths wrenching head, making it much easier since our bolts are so close to the primaries. These are also 12 pt heads so you need to have a 12 pt 5/16ths wrench.

TRUST ME. use felpro gaskets for the headers. I have used at least 3 other different types, and EVERY ONE OF THEM LEAKED!
