Don't know. Maybe the guy pulled it because he was going to sell the idea?

i remember he used a standard automotive relay, its a little square deal with 4 prongs coming out of it.......and he ran a new powe to the battery and ground to the kickpanel area........but i forgot how he had it wired to the window motor/switch wires.

The fix that is described in that thread that ucnu112 posted seems like it would work, but I only have one question. What about the "auto" feature on the drivers side window which allows you to just push the button once and the windows rolls down without you having to hold the button? In the post someone stated that the window would not stop if you were holding the button and something got stuck in it (i.e.- hand/arm etc.) so does that mean that if you just hit the button too hard and the "auto" feature is initiated then it just wouldn't stop trying to put the window down? Wouldn't that overheat the motor?

No, it won't. The strip just stops the motor if it's in a bind.

[edit]

Where can I get the relays? Got a part Number?

I'm just wondering which method would be better to repair the motors.

the only "express" window you need to worry about is the express up. some of the newer cars have express up and they have had accidents with them...but, camaro's dont have express up. and if something gets in the way of your window going down...you got some problems. all you gotta do to stop it is press the up button on the switch.

Is this a common problem with our camaro's? for the passenger side window motor to act 'tired'.

I believe this is the thread you're looking for?

http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=269680

Cheapest place to get a replacement motor is Autozone, or other local parts store ~$50.00 with life time warranty on most.

As for the relay, it's probably a standard 30amp automotive relay available at local parts stores and radio shack for ~$5 or so.
