What gears? need advice.

Got a A4 1994 camaro z28, will have around 600 or so to put into something on my car im thinking gears, its a high mileage car but still runs great, my idea was either 3.73's or 3.90's? or maybe even some other mod, Currently my cars got Flowmasters air intake, air foil, and 156k miles ran a 14.28 at 98.9 with some hesitation problems, so any imput would be appreciated.

well, i think some of the a4 had 2.73's stock. But either way, you should notice a very good diff if you get the 3.73's. i have 3.42's in mine and it feels a lot faster than the 2.73's in my friends. So, i think you will be very happy w/3.73's, even more if you have 2.73's right now.

3.42s for the stock cam street/strip car
3.73s will put the engine out of its powerband

I hear of a lot of happy Camaro owners with 3.73s in their automatics. Don't forget you'll need to either recalibrate your ECM or you'll need to get it re-programmed.

Happy with seat of the pants feel, sure, but time slips dont lie.

In my Impala SS i had both 342s and 373s. Car was faster with the 3.42s in ET and traps with the stock cam.

Only reason that i went 373 is because i am no longer running the stock cam, lol.
