What gauges are important?

Outside of the stock ones, what about:

Fuel pressure, oil temp., trans temp., good oil pres. one (not the stocker), etc...

i'm looking to do a custom gauge setup so that when i do finally decide to max the block, i have all the right stuff in order. any suggestions?

thanks

I have Autometer gauges in my car

I have an Air/Fuel Ratio gauge, which is pretty much just a light show for me now

And i have a water temp gauge which can be pretty useful

ahhh a/f, totally forgot about that one....

what's the purpose to the H2O temp? my mods are nothing too severe right now, basic bolt-on's...flp lts, hotcam, ported heads, etc...

The water temp is basically a little more accurate temp of ur engine, depending where u mount the sender. With ur mods, maybe u should look into a fuel pressure gauge, especially if ur gonna add a power adder in the future.

do you think a tranny temp. is something to get? in the next few months i'm going to piece together a nitrous kit and hopefully have that on the car for next spring, supercharger or turbo kit in the next few years.

how do you figure that? I think it's one of the more important ones especially if you have mods done. I don't think they make any useless gauges but that's just my .02

a/f guage for our cars it NOT ACCURATE AT ALL...now if u had a 200 wideband o2 sensor hooked up to a nice A/F meter that would be a another story

I have O2 sensor voltage, Tranny Temp, and Fuel Pressure.

If I added more it would be water temp and oil pressure.

The only reason i have the A/F ratio gauge, and the only thing i have found it usefull for, is to tell when the car goes into closed loop. other than that, it is just a light show....
