What gap for TR55 plugs

I just bought a set and gapped them at .050, and the car runs like crap now. It is missing badly.

What gap is everyone running with NA apps and these plugs. I have asked two "experts: around here, one suggested .043, the other .030. I was thinking about going in the middle, maybe ...035ish So....you all are the tie breakers!

Car is all bolt ons possible, plus a big cam.

I gaped mine ( when I ran them )at .50 with no problems. I don't mean to sound stupid or redundunt but are you sure you have all the plug wires to the right cylinders? Sounds like you have a plug wire backwards which will cause the car to miss. Good luck!

Ya i know they are all on the right cyl. I did the wires 1 at a time to make sure of that.

Guess im gonna go back in and lessen the gap a little, and make sure all the wires are snapped on well.

Thanks

No head work, but the cam is a big factor. Its pretty radical and i know it is playing alot with the cyl pressure. 234/242 with lots of lift. Anyways, im using a 6AL box, with a Accel coil.

First things first, ill go under there tomorrow and make sure all the wires are snapped on tightly, and that none of the wires are toasted.

I don't see any reason you would not want to go with the stock gap.
