what is the fastest Cam & bolt on LT1(350)?

just outta curiousity. has to be stock compression, stock pistons, rods, crank and heads. must be a 350 too,
cam and bolt-ons are all that are allowed w/ the engine

so what is it?

No matter how fast you think you are for your mods, theres always someone out there who's faster. The fastest cammed/stock head LT1 I've seen on here is Frank95Z.

The fastest that I know of is a guy at a local dragstrip but he's not on the internet. 93 Z28, stock heads, stock bottom end, stock intake, throttle body and injectors, huge solid roller cam, converter and gears ran 11.12. But this was over a year ago. Its a track only car. The last time i spoke to this guy he was going to gut the car and get HAL shocks and a lightweight K-member among other things so by now he should be well into the tens.

However, I'm sure there is some stock head and bottom end LT1 out there that is even faster.

That just pisses me off.. how and the hell can a stock head lt1 run 116mph in the 1/4.
I can only get 106.5 and probably a 108 on a cool day.
Ive got full bolt ons, mail order tune and a moderate size cam though.
The ET's have to do mostly with the suspension but the trap speed is ridiculous....

around here quickest ive seen is a 11.9@114..hes got longtubes,3500 stall, and a cc305..think stock/hpp programming/ and a dying rear too...im sure w/ a good program and a higher stall he'd get around a 11.5 or so....

Weight reduction, skinnies, good weather, a sea level track, and ! all the accessories. Those aren't full weight street cars.

Grease My car is not a track only car. It has a license, inspection sticker and I still drive it to work. I do put in a race tuneup and trailer my car to the track when i race it so that it will be ready to run when i get there. From 1995 to now one of the parts that i've changed the most is rear wheel studs from changing from street tires to race tires. There are plenty of stockhead race cars that run faster than I do but I don't think that they get 20 mpg on the highway.
