what exhaust should i get?

i want something that will give me more performance, but mainly a better, deeper sound. i dont like the really loud raspy sounds like the loudmouths. i like the deep tone that kind of rumbles your heart, not makes your ears feel like they want to fall off.

i was thinking of getting this:

Edelbrock stainless steal headers
Random Tech cat
Flowmaster cat back

anyone have this set up? also, installation: will the headers mount easily? I was underneath my car today and thought it might be a pain in a few spots. Thanks.

I recommend the Hooker Cat-back. Its decently quiet at idle, has a nice tone at cruising speeds, and really wakes up at WOT with a nice throaty wail.

I have the flowmaster and I love the sound. It does have somewhat of a drone to it on the interstate with cruise on.

I have a Hooker catback. I've also had loudmouth, and my car had Flowmaster on it when I bought it. I have also driven a LT1 with Magnaflow on it. The Hooker, IMO, is THE best catback. It is marginally louder than stock at idle, has a nice growl at cruising speed, and screams at WOT. The only drawback is that they don't offer it in stainless steel, but the price is right.

Keep in mind that many exhausts don't sound great with longtube headers, or a cam if you ever plan on going with them.

In a couple weeks, my Hooker is going to be complimented with a nice set of Jet-coated Mac mids, and a CC224/230
