Did you say that you are running a blower with out a tune? isn't it extremely important to have a tune on a blower car?

huh? no the car has been tuned i just need to get time to go pick it up and get my dyno graph and see the numbers it made. hey ss#1320, yeah i know my setup is pushing it. but the car rarely ever gets driven and i don't mash the gas pedal when i do drive it. if i went to the 6.66" right now with my 3.25 pulley would i gain anything?

well, if you do have the 6" pulley and you up it to the 6.66", then your impellar speed @ 5700 rpm will increase from 37,883rpm to 42,050rpm.

how much more boost that will give you, i cant say. but i know it will be more (all things being the same).

the impellar speed @ 5700rpm with 6.66 and 2.75 will be 49,695. and the max recommended impellar speed for the v-1 s-trim and the v-2 SQ is 50,000.

so basically to stay with my 3.25 pulley and up the crank pulley size would be a waste most likly? the other comment you said makes me not want to go to the 2.95 cause that pushes the blower to its limits and might break it...

Re: what else can i do for hp

im sorry, i figured it wrong before. you have a 6" crank pulley and a 3.12sc pulley. this equals 39,461 @ 5700rpm

if you go 6.66 and 3.12 you will have 43,802 impellar rpm at 5700.

it wont be a waste of money if you want more boost. and your a long way from the max impellar speed.

by the way, do you have a V1 S-trim or a V-2? the impellar speeds are a little different for the two.

I would say, stroker kit to a 383 or 396, rev it to 6500 rpms if you can. 9.5 compression pistons, up the booste about 4 psi. What heads are you running? You can probably make alot more hp with some better flowing heads, depends on what you got.

i have the V2 SQ, would i have to get the car tuned again for the larger cranck pulley?

i'm running ported stock heads.

uhh, yeah that may get you a couple more ponies. on that note, does anyone know if a V-2 SQ can even produce 12psi on a 383 or 396??? (i dont know what the average 383/396 flows) i would think that it would have a hard time keeping up with it, at that boost level. may need a more effecient blower like a T-trim.

i think a good question ought to be, how much do you want to spend?

if you dont want to spend a ton of money, im thinking about a economy 355 blower short block from victory racing engines. about $3K. contact nick at victory racing engines.
