What else can I do to help me hook?

I'm still spinning my tires into second gear even with feathering the gas.

383

3200 stall

Airbag in passenger side rear coil

Spohn LCAs and relocation brackets

Nitto DRs.

What else can I do to help me hook?

These are pretty much in order. Stickier tires are first, sway bar removal is free, shocks/drag springs will work well after sway bar removal. The rest is depending how hard core you ant to go.

ET Streets
Lose the front sway bar
Loose/Adjustable shocks in front
Drag Springs
Front bumper support removal
Battery to the rear

You could also get a new torque arm.

A bigger rear sway bar would probably help too.

How much of a difference would a torque arm make?

I just ordered a set of 15" ET streets and weld draglites.

it should do a lot if you adjust it properly. Some adj. shocks would also help too.

A torque arm will help a TON. (talking tenths in 60 foot times ) Make sure to get one that takes the mount off the tranny (cross brace or tunnel brace).

Just bear in mind that if you hook with a 10 bolt you're courting disaster.

What kind of torque arm will do this? I can't use spohn because of my true duals.

Jegster (through Jegs.com) uses a tunnel brace. Lt1dave.com has a better built and MUCH cheaper knock off of the jegster. Might want to see if you can buy it, even if he isnt installing it. BMR I think also sells one, but it isn't their standard version if i remember correctly (extreme trac pack or something like that). My guess would be either the jegster or the LT1dave arms would work because they mount to the tranny tunnel, not a crossmount, so i would think they would clear the duals. I dont know much about the BMR

The TA stock attaches to the tranny mount, which does double duty as a tranny mount and TA mount. Let the tranny mount do its job as a tranny mount, and let the TA attach elsewhere. It gives a MUCH firmer setup than the TAs that just reuse the tranny mount.

Mine hooks up real good now on the street, I don,t have a 60 yet trying to get to the track soon.
Here,s what I got.
Eibach drag launch kit, air bag in right rear at 15 lbs.
KYB AGX shocks set at 1 in front and 2 in the rear.
BMR Torque arm set at -2.
Lakewood LCAs and panhard rod.
Nitto drag radials at 25 psi on the street on 15X10 Pro Star XPs.
Its a killer on the street now, no one wants to run from a stop anymore.

I had a 2.2 sec 60 foot time at the track if that helps.

On the street I aired them at 18-22 psi
