I just got the long tubes put on buy a local speedshop and i have what i think is an egr hookup that used to go to the manifolds. Its a rubber hose that blows out air right on to the first driver side primary (slip-fit). Can i just remove this? it doesnt seem to be doing anything but blowing air on my headers and it clutters the engine bay. Can u guys tell me what this is connected to and if i can remove it somehow? BTW its a 97 with OBD1 conversion thanx.

 

its the AIR pump actually. you will be fine removing it. the EGR is located at the back of your intake kinda towards the drivers half. its the big black round metal object you feel if you reach back there.
