what is the duration, lift & lobe sep. on LE2 & LE3 CAM?
Re: what is the duration, lift & lobe sep. on LE2 & LE3 CAM?
any way with those 3 things alone you still wouldn't get all the info you needed. Just purchase it off him.
You know there are off the shelf cams that have had great results on these LT1's. If you use the search tool you find thousands of responses for cam selection from mild to wild, to solid lifter cams.

I guess if a guy wants to know whats going in his car he will just have to get out the dial indicator and degree wheel. If another cam grinder wants to copy a profile all they have to do is take the measurements so I guess I do not understand why it has to be a secret? Oh well, I guess that it's LE's choice on how to market his product.

The LE2 cam is like the GM847. The LE3 acts in a stroker like GM847 in a 350 does. I have heard all his cams are under or around .600 lift, and some are on a 109 LSA. Those are only rumors though, I don't know anything for sure.
Re: what is the duration, lift & lobe sep. on LE2 & LE3 CAM?
The EXACT specs will vary for each customer depending on alot of variables but for the most part the LE2 is similar to the CC 306 with more lift and a tighter LSA.
The LE3 is a lil larger than the GM 847 with more lift and a tighter LSA.
There again, if the customers set ups requires a wider LSA, the cm will be dseigned for them. It is known by a few of you that I have been using Bret Bauer for my cams and we get all of the info and design a cam that will run best in each customers car. Most people are running a full weight car and want all of the mid range TQ they can get. Most people are using 3.42/3.73 and some have a 4.11 gear. Most people are using a 2800/3200 and some have a 3600 stall. The cams that I do for these people are focusing on a TQ curve that works best for EACH car and so the EXACT specs vary. You will notice a nice flate TQ curve with them though.
If a customer has 4200 stall (or more), 4.11/4.30/4.56 gears, wants to turn 7000 RPM (or more), has more of a track car or for what ever reason just wants a high peak HP # and doesn't mind losing TQ below 3000 RPM, we can do a cam for that as well.
As I mentioned, they are all custom to EACH customer. This takes more time and most places are not into spending this much time with each customer but ANYONE that has dealt with me knows that I do not mind making sure we get the RIGHT combination for each customer to do exactly what they are wanting.
