What does it take to get into the 11's

Hey Guys,
I want to run into the mid to high 11's. Whats it gonna take, whats the easiest route, and will the 10bolt take it if its only done 1 weekend a month?

Thanks, any help is appricated.

traction...traction and more traction...

the old 10 bolt may take it for a while...but in order to get traction you'll need some sticky tires...which are the death of many 10bolts.

easiest route would be N20. a basic bolt on car with GREAT traction and a 125hp shot should get you into the 11's.

NA though would take a pretty stout h/c package

Thanks for the info...

As you can see from my sig, the traction is there provided I don't break the rear, I have done a few mods to the rear including welding the axle tubes to the center section (thats where I always break/bend at), Auburn Pro Series diff, 4.10 gears and G2 Girdle and Ratek Crush Collar. I want to do axles, but I don't want to sink to much money into it, if its just gonna break, esp. since I have a M6. A friend has a A4 with NOS and a pretty stout motor, he runs slicks every weekend and hasn't blown up his stock rear (all stock except for 3.73 gears).

How much NOS would I need. and what bolt ons in specific. I currently have a MSD ignition\coil\8mm wires\TR55x plugs, Z06 MAF, PCM4Less tune /w KM, headers, hi-flow cat and Random Tech 3" exhaust.

Thanks again for your help

I would not compare your friends car to your car being that A4's are much easier on parts.

You'll get guys with A4's here running 11's and have no problems and guys with M6's running 12's having a bunch of problems.

Heads and cam with the basic bolt-ons (headers, stall, gears, etc.) will get ya there. I'm hoping for 11.7's by the time the season is done and I can get some light drag wheels on there and a few other things. First time out I'm hoping for any 11 :-).
