What does a stock LTI dyno at stock?
Re: What does a stock LTI dyno at stock?
Mine put down 256hp stock.

PS: This was back in '97 when all LT-1's put down ~250rwhp stock. Once the LS-1s came out, somehow miraculously all the LT-1s now put out 280-300rwhp stock.

Thanks, that's why I've been so confused. Looking at a lot of dyno results and seeing people at the 290 ish mark with boltons, and I'm thinking, how in the heck does the car only pick up 15 HP with boltons.
Makes a lot more sense now!

Re: What does a stock LTI dyno at stock?
I heard realistically its 240~250rwhp for A4 and another ~10 on top for the M6. They vary depending on the car...but Ive seen some people post low 26x rwhp stock and high 26x/27x rwhps numbers with limited mods.
Take the 275 rating... and I took off 15% (manual) and got 233.75, I used 18% for the A4 and got 225.5rwhp. Its safe to safe GM underrated them.
At 300hp 15% is 255rwhp M6 and 246rwhp A4 (thats more like it
)
Anyway you look at it... the LT1 is an easy 300hp motor.

Re: What does a stock LTI dyno at stock?
I've always gone with 255 rwhp and 290 rwtq for the M6. This seems to be right on average from all the dyno plots that I've seen of stock M6 LT1's.
In the 93-95 models, that really makes it look like GM under rated them. That's only 7.3% drivetrain loss (255fwhp / 275rwhp), which is very low drivetrain loss even for a manual tranny. If you take the '96-'97, which were rated at 285 hp, then it's still only 10.5% drivetrain loss.
