What do you think of this tq arm?

This seems to be a pretty good price for one and it also includes a DS loop. I'm not sure if this product is new or not though, but I'm assuming so. Wondering if anyone has ever gotten one of these, and if so what are your thoughts. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to view. Thanks in advance.

That is indeed a Mac Torque arm. If I remember correctly, its only $189 through Mac. Don't quote me on it, but I thought it was less than $200. Not too many people are using it, probably because you have to bolt the piece to the chassis, and its kind of a pita.

if you dont want any bad rattling, try and find a torque arm that fits in the stock location.

The only problem I see with that arm is that it doesn't have any provision for adjustment.

I wouldn't buy an aftermarket torque arm that you can't adjust.

It also doesn't allow for any fore/aft movement at the front mount. Looks like a poorly engineered "suspention" part.

MAC torque arms may work... but there's way better ones out there...

If you want a cheap upgrade get an edelbrock.... better built that stock, but relatively same design..

Other than that BMR has some nice products...

but if your really interested in a tq arm that makes a true difference... get one that's non tranny mounted IE spohn....

the end...

Re: What do you think of this tq arm?

Good info to know everyone, thanks. I was planning on a BMR tq arm but at the much higher price I wanted to know how it made a difference. I guess now I know. Without really shopping anywhere else than BMR's site for prices I didn't realize the range was so broad. It wasn't something I had planned to get right away, but I figured for $200 bucks vs $320 + the cost of a ds loop I thought it might be worth it to get one now. Ok on a second question. What is the difference that the adjustable vs non adjustable tq arm of BMR's offer.

adjustable tq arms... can allow you to manipulate the degree angle of the pinion gear.

Kk I realize that, but only based off of reading the website. How exactly(in lamens terms) does it benefit the car? Thanks again.
