What do you think about those hearers?

hearers

Is the Metallic-ceramic coating really necessary with long tube headers?

93midnightta 04-28-2003 06:06 PM

first off, they aren't long tubes and secondly they're made by pace setter. i would stay far far away from them.

xxsaint69x 04-28-2003 06:54 PM

let me put it in 2 words for you...THEY SUCK.:p

LimitedEd1LE 04-28-2003 08:47 PM

Yea I would stay away from them. Second they are not long tubes like said before. Third it's HeaDers, not hearers. It may be a typo, but why twice.

zmike 04-28-2003 08:55 PM

those headers....no. Long tubes, yes. The ceramic coating on my shorties only lasted about a year. You will probably see varying opinions on the coating. It all depends on your pocket book.

geez those things must be awful. only $225, how much can you possibly lose?

chesee48 04-28-2003 09:11 PM

Actually Pacesetters arent THAT bad. They are lower on my list but they are above BBK in my eyes. Ive had a set of both in my possesion and i liked the pacesetters better. However i recommend spending more and get the MAC's or similar.

If no emmisions, BUY LT's!!!

KeVMaN 04-28-2003 09:18 PM

how much power do they give you? I didn't think I could really afford headers, but some place's have those for like $200, and they are emmissions legal which is a must for cali

You may want to try edelbrock tes headers.
Very cheap and fit very well.
check T.P.I.S.
