what do you need for clutch install?

what do you need for clutch install?

mcleod single disk.......$130
pressue plate and t/o bearing......$300

if i need a new stock flywheel they are about $170

thats all i need right?

alignment tool and 4 quarts or tranny fluid. Thats all i can think of though.

well if you use your stock flywheel make sure to get it turned, which is about 30 bucks. Also I would reccomend the rear main oil seal-20 bucks, if its goes bad it may leak on your new clutch ruining it. Also get a new pilot bushing-5 bucks. Both are easy to replace. I used the toitlet paper method for the bushing, which saves buying the tool. THese bushing miay look fine upon inspection, but are usually bad

thanks guys.........im not doing the labor myself, just collecting all the necessary parts for my tranny guy.

What is the toilet paper method for the pilot bushing? I'm about to get into this job myself; I need all the info I can get.

I didnt lose any tranny fluid and my fluid was fresh so I didnt drain it.....but if its been awhile since you changed it I would put some fresh in. I also put a new poly tranny mount .

Clutch should come with an alignment tool. I'd say change out the fluid since you'll have the tranny down anyways. If you want you could swap out your ****ty tranny mount for a Prothane / Energy suspension piece, depending on what condition it is in. Might want to consider an aftermaket shifter too. Just some thoughts.
