what do you guys think
what do you think about my build for this spring ? i have most of the parts listed. the lt1 has 166k, i'm guessing its never been rebuilt. and the stock end will be untouched. for transmission i have a stock 4l60-e with a transgo HD-2 shiftkit, and a 2800 stall performanceedge torque converter. 3.73's i want the gm brand but i can't find them. hooker supercomp long tube headers, egr & air pump delete, 3inch x pipe to two magnaflow performance cats, two flowmaster 10 series mufflers out the rear bumper. k&n cai, 160 t-stat, 52mm tb, LE1 Cam and heads, not exactly sure yet on what cam i'm gonna go with. performanceforless tune, and new plugs not sure what to go with, auto lite 104's, new opti and waterpump, 1.6 rockers, new pushrods, and i'm sure i'm forgetting something but what do you think she will run ?
Re: what do you guys think
Depends on the heads and cam.
Far too many people lately are just picking parts and hoping for a decent time. Why not pick a HP or ET goal first, then do some research on what some people have done to reach that goal and go from there?
But I would be leery about putting heads/cam on a stock bottom end with those miles. First make sure you have good oil pressure and it passes a leak-down test, then go for it.

166k miles+ heads/cam=
Not saying you can't do it, but I would think twice about a rebuild since you are going to have the motor half disassembled anyway.
Do you need cats for emissions reasons? Id ditch the cats if possible and maybe look into something other than flowmasters. (I personally have nothing against flowmasters, never used them, but the general consensus of the board is to stay away from them)
Also, you may as well get a 58mm tb. It may not be necessary now, but it will be when you decide to get bigger heads/cam

Re: what do you guys think
if my tranny blows up i'll get a 3500 stall but i dont feel like dropping the tranny again.
well i'm gonna take the risk if it blows up then crap i wasted money putting it together but then i'll have it rebuilt.
No not really but i do it to quiet down the exhaust just alittle bit. why ditch them any ways ? they are aftermarket and hi flow. also the flowmaster mufflers are 10 series which are 1 chamber soo they arn't "chokemasters" like everyone says they are, they are talking about the mufflers that are on the catbacks.
if i get the 58mm i will have to bore the intake.

Re: what do you guys think
Should be mid 12's. Don't forget about bigger injectors. If you want to save some time and money I have a 1994 LT1 with a cam, injectors, TB, hooker shorty headers, valve springs...I can sell you. Still in the car you can hear it run. It ran high 12's with a six speed and street tires.
