If I were to use all the money on my car, what should I get aside from what I already have in my sig? Keep in mind, this car is still my daily driver so I'd like to stay away from stroking...for now...

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
If you mean "financial aid" from your school or other than your family to be used for your tuition/college costs, spending it on your car isn't the best idea, and may either be illegal, or get you on the donor's poop-list.

If, on the other hand, you just won some lottery money, or a rich relative gifted it to you, there are a few good engine builders who sponsor here who would be glad to help you spend the money.

IMO, you could probably replicate 96z's 383 (433 rwhp/420 rwtq) for that, and have enough left for a 12 pack of LoneStar.

Illegal?! It's far from...

Financial aid can be used for rent, bills, utilities, whatever have you. Financial aid, as I'm sure you know, has to be paid back...so either way it's going to be paid back...

Financial aid actually advises that you use the moneys for things other than just tuition...( ie MY CAR )

Thanks for your concern for my well being though...

Beat me to it.

My tuition is about ohhh $20+ a year + books. Rough huh? Now imagine needing 160 credits to graduate... Well worth it in my opinion. Also, I am luckey enough that my school pays for the majority (or close it) of my tuition costs.

I'm not paying a penny of it back till after I graduate, when I could easily walk out of school owing nothing. Dont beleive me? There is 2 years tuition in my driveway of the house I am renting. You cant buy these years back is how i look at it. 18-23, fun times:0

With that said, its downright stupid to spend $8000 of student loans to make you car fast and unreliable. Nothing else to it. Stupid. Not poor financial planning, none of that learning from you mistakes crap. Just stupid.

I am fairly sure its illegal to spend financial aid money to mod your car. I am pretty sure its ok if you need it for rent/food/to buy a car to get to school- but i dont think its legal or legit to take that money to buy heads and cam.

Also, judgeing from many of your posts (ie- arguing to the death that you can have true duals with a Y pipe and if you use an X pipe its not "true" as well as a few other BLATNETLY WRONG statements) I would say its a good idea to work on the edjumacation

Either that or call up combo, tell them to send you a fast motorm install it, give them your credit card number and hang up really quiick. dont try to give your 2 cents on the issue

edit:
and for once i would like to "call out" oldsstroker on his "technical advice" Lone star? I thought you went to the same school I did? Apparently a lot has changed

Lebat, Molsen XXX and Bud Light are King.
Natty Ice for those without jobs.

I would explain in detail but there is a 10k charector limit

Luckey? Beleive? Judgeing? Charector? ...and I'm the one who needs to look into 'edjumacation' as you would put it? Again Trey, I haven't asked for smart *** comments, just friendly suggestions.

Ever heard of a little school in Texas called Baylor University? We're becoming tier 1 here in about 5 years, so I'd hardly say that education can be used as a 'personal suggestion' ya jackass...

Like I've stated before to you Trey, can you please keep pompous replies to yourself? Thank you...

ps you're a *uckin idiot

Consider revising this I think you mean work pays for school... otherwise it wouldn't be too successful of a school if they paid their own tuitions! If what you wrote IS accurate, hook me up with that school! lol

scholarships my friend.

IMO, its very unwise to take out a loan to mod a car.

"this advice is free, take it for what its worht"

Nothing wrong with spending your financial aid on your car...at least here in Texas. Plenty of people have and haven't gotten in trouble with it. People trade food stamps for drugs all the time...and that is government aid. We are talking about "loans" from a financial institution. It is your money to do what you want with it. The only thing is, it comes around to bite you in the a$$ if you're not careful. Sports paid the majority of the way through college for me...my dumb a$$ took out student loans for "extra" spending money...and now I pay $260 a month for 10 years....dumb mistake on my part and my wife tells me it daily! Now, since there's no turning around...just do heads/cam/LT's and leave it at that. Put the rest of the money in a savings account and pay for repairs and the future payments that will need to be paid back. If it is money from government or school, take advantage of it while you can, for the rest of your life you'll be paying them anyways. All my buddies from Baylor are paying out the **** in their loans now...one pays $800 a month...now that could pay for a sweet car.
