100% agree. Don't waste your cash on the LT4 conversion. You'll get better performance and probably spend less cash doing your own Heads & Cam combo. Then spend what you have left on complimentary parts and you'll be happy for a loooonnngg time.

Save it.

Why? Unless you do all your own work, that will not get you much. And even if you could get a good port and cam, you would still need to do more, esp.since your car is not exactly new.

Example of ideal mods:
heads
RRs
cam
headers
12 bolt
gears
tires
bottom-end build up, eg. 4-bolt splayed or 4-bolt
SFCs

This can be a very expensive hobby and if you don't often get that much money together, you just might better sit on it for a while until you are sure you want to join this circus.

Yea, you guys beat me too it. Don't waste your time on a LT4, get a better cam and head work. That right there will get you close to around $2000.

You could send it to me, I'll be happy to send you my paypal account address.

Seriously this is a very difficult question to answer. I would recommend taking a look at your car and deciding which is most important to you. If you want more engine performance, fine, decide how much performance you can realistically achieve and still meet your driving requirements. $2300.00 certainly ins't going to do everything you want so start to formulate a basic plan and then create realistic goals that you want to meet. I've certainly spent more money than I should on my car mainly because I didn't really have an overall idea of where I wanted to go with my car.

Good luck and have fun.

Shoot Lloyd elliot an email. Get one of his heads and cam packages for $1100-1600 then Buy some hooker lts $4-600 depending of if coated then get a y pipe (mufflex etc) $150 and some 30 lbs injectors 1-300 depending on if used or not. Lol then save a little money and tune that biotch and feel the power of 390-400+ rwhp and pray your 10 bolt holds together if you go the cheapest route its only 1950.00 and you still have money left over for a dyno tune. just my .02cents

But just remember Its your Car so go with what YOUR goals are. Every person who posts here will probably have a different opinion in some form or another and really all that matters in the end is what you think is best for your ride
