What is this cord under my hood??

Ok.. I have no idea if this is a stock thing or not but when I lift up my hood.. tied in a bunch on top of my cars right front wheel well is this male cord (two prongs and the ground prong)... the cord is kinda bunched up and held together with a twist tie or whatever and then it leads down under the engine (looks like it goes somewhere near the oil pan) what on earth is this? I don't think it's an engine block heater cuz the previous owner stored the car every winter... any idea what this might be? It's really ugly so if I don't need it then it's definatly gone... thanks

Sure sounds like a block heater to me...there isn't anything else in the engine bay that looks like that, unless you left a power tool in there or something.

all canadian f bodies had block heaters and some american f bodies that were closer to our border/northern climate had them from the factory. called the winter package i think.

That page has only the production numbers for the United States I believe, or all Canadian models did not fall under the OPTION CODE KO5 and did not get counted as such.
