what can mix-n-match between lt4 and lt1

i am getting an 95 lt4 z28 on saturday...now dont get me wrong it runs a 12.3 @ 118 mph so by no means is it slow...but what perfomance mods from the lt1 work for the lt4...such as the same cat-back exhaust, headers, cai, etc...

if anyone has any knowledge of this feel free to respond here, or better yet IM me on AIM my sn is: JP2005

Thanks
JP

First off, there were no LT4 95 Z28s. The only true LT4 cars are the 29 LT4 Firehawks and 106 LT4 Camaro SSs built in 97. What you are probably buying is an LT1 car that has had the LT4 "package" installed on it. This package consists of the LT4 heads and intake, and probably the LT4 hotcam.

As far as your setup will be concerned, anything that will work on an LT1 will work on your car. The only thing that is really different from a true LT4 to an LT1 is the harmonic balancer, but since your car is an LT1 w/ an LT4 kit, you'll still have the stock LT1 balancer.

Here's a site that shows the differences between an LT1 and a 'real' LT4 [NOT n LT4 'conversion']

http://www.grandsportregistry.com/lt1vslt4.htm

Also, it might get you some leverage for a lower price for the car[being able to demonstrate that it is NOT an 'LT4'..that there's more to it than 'heads, cam, intake, and RR's']
