The manifolds have diverter valves on them I need to block. What do I buy to do that?

Re: What can I use to plug the manifolds after AIR removal?

I plugged my manifolds with two bolts. It's been so long and now I have LT's I don't remember the exact size bolt. I do know it should be either a M18,M20,or M22 and I picked up the bolts at a local auto parts store.

I think it's the drain plug from an M22 transmission? If I remember correctly.

My 94 was a M22x1.5 drain plug. It's used by some mid 90s chevy 4x4 Xfer cases and later model BMW transmissions.

I went to a dodge dealership and you can get oil drain plugs for a 94-00 Cummings Disel. Not exaclty sure on the year range but if you ask for something like a 97 Ram they will def fit. Was a perfect fit on mine except the don' screw in %100 mabey about %75 but they work great, no exhaust leak or anything.

I found 22x1.5 plugs at Autozone... bought them and they don't fit. Going to return them and try something smaller.

i had the edelbrock T.E.S. headers...with AIR injection...and they came with an adapter to adapt to the stock header input...i just took out the AIR and removed the adapter...installed 5 pennies in each hole and reinstalled adapter. NO LEAKS!! WOO!!

Re: What can I use to plug the manifolds after AIR removal?

i went and got a m22 for mine and it didnt fit. all i did was go to a hardware store and i took the fitting with me that came out of the manifold. they found me two plugs within a few mintues and i think they both cost me like 2.34. very cheap and have no exhaust leaks whatsoever.

Re: What can I use to plug the manifolds after AIR removal?

what did you guys use to take the fittings off without having the manifold off on the passenger side? I have a buddy that is wanting to do this and he can't figure out how to get to the passenger side without removing the manifold itself. Basically what tool/tools did you use to get to it?
