What cam for mildly ported heads?

Ok well I'm getting some ported heads with a port matched intake. What cam would be best for me. Not sure on the flow #'s. And its gonna be on a fresh bottom end. I was thinking about the cc306. But any part #'s would help for what you guys sugest. Also how high i would have to rev the car.

Re: What cam for mildly ported heads?

ive got basically the same setup and i went with the 306 just because i like the power band of bigger cams
it will require you to rev to about 6500 which i honestly think is fine on a stockish and especially a refreshed bottom end
if you want something that is a little more mild and not as top heavy power wise then go the comp 503 its a really nice cam actually
but its all based on what you want out of the car if you want it to drive like a street car but sound lopey go with the 305 or the hot cam
if you want a decent power cam and not as noticably lopey the 503 is nice (with the idle at about 850)
and if you want lopey all around and top heavy power with more peak as well the 306 is what your lookin for
