What cam to get?
What cam to get?
I have a 97 Trans am with intake and thats it. I plan on getting LTs and a cam, lifters, springs and retainers. My question is what cam, lifters, springs and retainers would you recomend? I want to hear it, but I dont want it crazy. It is a daily driver in CA so it needs to pass smog, although I have hook ups so it doesnt need a CARB #. What would you guys recomend I should get?? BTW I am getting it all installed by a shop.
Thanks
Thanks
Re: What cam to get?
The cam I get, I want to get about 370hp out of my LT1 with LTs, intake, and cam. Now, what cam should I get with that being said? Also what lifters and springs would you recomend with the cam?

Re: What cam to get?
get a le1 package with good tuning you should be around your goal
but i doubt you get 370rwhp with cam only without touching the heads unless you get pretty big gm847, cc306 or something comparible and i still would say 370 would be hard with stock heads
this is my opinion if you want smog legal high 300 hp area it would be the best route and friendly on the budget
