What CAI is the best?

Is this one any good?

http://www.rksport.com/rkstore/dept....sid=&x=13&y=12

Its the K&N High Flow System off of RK Sport

It says it adds almost 20 HP...
If not which CAI gives you the most POWER...?
I don't care how much it costs just want a little more HP.

Any CAI is going to be better than the stock junk. I would recomend getting the K&N, Moroso, or the SLP one. They all flow well. You can get them at many performance sites. Check out www.ls1speed.com They have good prices.

both K&N and Morosos, Arizona Speed Marine also makes a good one. You'll spend a couple hundred or do something home made, it's not that easy though getting a fit at the corner of the radiator and brake setup. I went with Moroso, very pleased.

I have the Moroso and have been pleased. A lot of folks like the K&N and the SLP. I have heard of a few issues with RK SPort in general historically with some members here but I have no actual direct experience myself with the company.

I agree with Ted. I have the Moroso and love it. Good performance at an affordable price. K&N looks good and also has good performance. To be honest, no CAI kit is gonna be much ahead of any other brand. most perform similarly.

The K+N FIPK and Moroso systems are the most popular that we carry for the LT1s. I use the K+N on my LT1 Camaro but wouldn't have a problem using either one.

Every CAI is going to give you about the same horsepower. Seeing that I went with the one that I thought looked the best which was SLP. The black powder coated tubes look awesome compared to the plastic look of the others. Just my $.02

I just installed the K&N this weekend, went in pretty easy. I noticed a small SOTP feel.

Has anyone else noticed a faint whineing sound since installing a CAI?

Is it just that all the stock stuff deadens the sound of the engine, or is the higher flowing CAI really sucking up more air?
