Just put in Autolite 106's today to replace some fouled TR55's. Like a buck each.

Im running autolite 104 platinums gapped at .045 for N/A right now....the car had coppers in before and it ran solid.

I have some NGK BR7EF for the 150 shot i will be running.

mdacton asked the question. What are you running? If it is a stock LT1, then there's no real reason to switch away from a stock style plug. The AC Delco's in mine were still strong past 115k miles. I replaced them with Autolite Platinums of the stock heat range. No problems.

If you plan on running Nitrous, then go with a copper plug. Otherwise, the stock plugs work great. It's a spark plug. Don't overthink it unless you've done a bunch of power adding mods that would require a different heat range.

Unless when you pull your AC Delco's and half or more of the platinump pucks are gone. Maybe they have fixed that problem, but that's why I dont run them.

There are different types of TR55's, hence the price difference. Go to
Summit and enter "tr55" in the search box - you'll see 5-6 types.

$2.39 for the cheapest one. And it's the same one I used... "V-Power".

I used some cheap Autolite 106's and the car has never run this good.

I think more expensive is not always better, but then again i might be having to change them sooner than if I would have gone with a more expensive plug but It only take about 30 minutes to do on my car...maybe the headers make it easier but i laugh when shops say its like a 5 hour job.

I love the NGK TR55IX. They are the Iridium plug.
They cost a little more, but they last 3 times longer and you can use nitrous with them.
They also have less resistance to spark.
I gapped mine down to .045". My car runs the best at that gap.
Lt1's suck to do plugs on, unless you are warped or have little fingers.
