What is the best sounding exaust for LTs

I have a set of JetHot LT's which will be installed when my car comes out of storage. I also have a hooker Y-pipe and I'm wonder what exhaust will sound the best with this set-up. Currently I have JBA shorty headers and a Loudmouth (which got mangled in a "minor" accident...reminder, don't **** off on wet roads).

You'll never get a definate answer in a post like this because everyone has their own opinions as to what sounds best. Personally I hate the sound of cut-outs, Borlas and the Loudmouth. I like the sound of Flowmasters, GMMG and my Random Technology cat-back. So if I tell you Random Tech's sound the best someone else will say "BS, Corsa is better"

I have the GMMG with FLP's and love it.......dying to get the heads/cam in to hear it.........no rasp or drone when I have the cats in..........'price of admission' is on par with the borla/corsa/b+b type exhausts, but IMO is worth every penny. FWIW I have an E-cutout on my GTP and like it a lot.....

For the money the Hooker cat back with the aero chamber muffler is really nice! Looks and performance plus great sound.

Cool

IMHO I am rather partial to the SLP 2 on the left... it has a very subtle look to it, i dont know if that is what your looking for, but at idle makes a great "blub blub" noise and when the RPM's race up tis music to the ears. I dont think its the best in terms of power or looks, but great for an everyday driver that you dont want to be TOO obnoxious with.

i also dislike the sound of cutout with headers. I get a lot of compliments with my hooker catback with my hooker long tubes and off road pipe. It has a nice little rumble to it at idle and screams when you step on it. A lot of people say at a certain rpm is sounds like a viper

You guys that are saying "get an E-cutout" realize that he needs to get a catback right? The one he had is mangled.

Anyways, Hooker sounds great and so does SLP TOTL. Both have excellent performance also.

The Hooker cat-back seems to sound good with LT's from what I read. Other catbacks(borla and flowmaster in particular) get complaints of raspiness with LT's.

I personally cannot stand the sound of a cutout. I don't want the Nascar sound and scare the crap out of other drivers, not to mention p!ssing them off for being so friggin loud. E-cutouts are nice for the track, but overkill on the street. They scream "look at me, look at me!" Just my opinion.

cutouts don't totally bypass the muffler, so you'd still need something back there that you enjoy hearing...

i'd say a true dual setup with long tubes

I'm going to make a couple of videos of my car and will post them in a few days. Its a 3" straight through muffler so it gets pretty loud at WOT. Way louder than the flowmaster I had before. Its deep at idle and high pitched at WOT, especially at 6800rpm
