i'm changing the header gaskets in my 96ws6 with hooker coated long tubes what are the best gaskets and where can I find them?

the only ones i have had work for me are the mr gasket copper seals

 

i always heard great things about the edelbrock gaskets

 

The Earls pressure master gasket are great and you can get them at Summit

 

Stock gaskets are the best gasket you can get. You will have to do some drilling on them for hooker lt's, but they won't leak.

 

i have tried over 5 diff types of gaskets on my car and the ONLY ones i could get to seal were the (cant remember brand) but the copper ones...my header bolts have been coming loose lately and have run on them back from school to fix them(like 2 miles) and tighten them up and they still seal perfect...best $50 spent

I had a problem with my copper gaskets not sealing so i went with felpro's and they havent leaked yet.

 

Fel-pro 1406 gaskets.

 

As already mentioned, Felpro 1406's.

 

Fel-Pro 1406 gaskets won't work with all headers. I'm using Mr Gasket # 125965 with my MAC headers.

For the record, they do work with Jet Hot long tubes. They get my vote.

 

I go to Auto Zone and pick up some aftermarket ones for the d-ports off the shelf(I think they are the felpros). I like the fact that i can just go pick them up and not have to have them mailed to me. I don't know if they do that everywhere though.

 

I used the Fel-Pro's as well. Great gaskets.
