Wouldn't the lift on the exhaust side with the CC306 cam put you at .608 lift? I thought it wasnt exactly safe to take hydralic lifters over that amount of lift? How close would the piston/valve clearance be with that lift and the duration of the cc306?

I've been thinking about the 1.7 thing for a while. I wondered about LS1 take-off stockers, but didn't realize that they won't fit the LT1..

I've been watching posts like this here lately too...

I'm watching to see if the performance difference is worth any cost increases...

If you are going from stock to 1.7RR yes you will notice a difference, slightly more than 1.6 RR. A guy on kyfbodies.org with a hotcammed and heads Vette gained 14 RWHP from going from 1.6RR to 1.7RR.

I was kicking around the thought of the Hotcam or XE 224/230 with the 1.7rr from the get-go.

I need to do a cost comparison the see if it's worth it.

See sig, not done yet. Still need to order the rockers. Thinking there may be a valve cover clearance issue possibility, but won't know until they're on the car. Here's my setup breakdown (price comparo)
Now:
CC Pro Mag: 275
Later:
GMPP Guideplates: 20
ARP 7/16 studs: 30
Scorpion 1.7's: 202

The price overall is cheaper, unless you need hardened pushrods. That alone will add about 100 to your total.

I am selling my scorpion 1.7's for 190 shipped. I used them for 40 miles, but the springs couldnt handle it. The power would fall off at high rpms for me.

Got Pics?? If so, email me with them. Also, given the recent rash of scammers, as a protection to myself if I decide to purchase, do you have anyone that can vouch for a sale you made? I'm not trying to be a d*ck or anything, just trying to protect myself. Also, which part # did you order? thanks.
