What The #$*@!!

Hey fellas, I gotta get this taken care of. My car has new bosch O2's a year ago, a new opti 4 months ago, new fuel filter 4 months ago, a new IAT sensor, and a cleaned TB and IAC. My car still has a rough idle and starts hard. The rough idle feels like I have a cam in the car. Also, if I push the gas just a small amount and start out slow, the car kinda jerks and surges until I get RPM's up a little. If I stomp on the gas, everything goes like mad. Give me a list of things to check. I am thinking fuel pressure regulator, coil, coil wire. I also thought about the TPS since I have the weird throttle response and the rough idle could be caused by a messed up TPS reading. Let me know what you think. Thanks in advance!!!!

How do I check it. I thought about that. I will probably try to take it off and clean it. Is that about all I can do to check it??

plugs and/or wires is most likely your culprit. the shaking is called a misfire and a good sign of a burnt plug wire is when the shaking clears up as you gain RPMs... im sure the rule applies to cracked plugs.

I'm betting on plug wires. I say because my car acted the same way. I fixed it last friday by spending the whole damn day replacing two wires that were almost cut in half by the powersteering pulley. you better believe those new biatches arent gonna get cut again. I superglued and siliconed and any other sticky **** i found them down to the block. I hope nothing happens to them. hehe. cuz i dont know how ill get them off. anyway I'm pretty sure thats your problem. the starting hard thing is your fuel pump. Mine has the same problem. I'm gonna change out the pump next tuesday. the dealer wanted $900 to put in a new fuel pump. The service manager asked if i was sitting down before he told me, then i knew why. Sorry for the book, just trying to help. -Michael

Scan it. Are you getting a SES light? I have the same freakin problem. I have replaced damn near everything and still runs like crap. I am waiting for my cable from akm so I can further narrow it down. I'm guessing you have multiple misfires.

Hey thanks for the advice so far. It seems like alot of people here think plugs and wires. What are the best plugs and wires to get?? Also, if anyone has more info, I would like to hear it. Thanks again.

If your ignition system checks out, DEFINITLY check out that fuel pump, test it with a fuel pressure gauge on the shrader valve.

i have a 95 Z with 125K on it and was having a similar problem with hesitation/stumble at low RPM's that progressively got worse. it turned out to be my plug wires. i had changed the plugs at about 90K, but didn't change the plug wires like a dumba$$ ! =/

I second that....but his problem does sound like a burnt wire.

Yeah I know the bosch O2's are crap, but at the time my car barely ran and the only ones I could find in stock were the bosch ones. What is the difference in them anyway. I have never actually heard what makes them crap, I have just heard that they are and thats that.
