went to track today not to happy..what's wrong?

went to the track today, not very happy, last time I went my best was

14.467 at 95.48.... 2.20 6oft. 1/8th mile 9.315 at 76.85mph.

this time:

14.622 at 94.77mph. 2.161 60ft. 1/8th mile 9.440 at 75.49mph w/.070 r/t.

my worst today was a 15.121 at 93.89 2.42 60ft. I was spinning bad.
I have been having people telling me that my trap speed is really low. should be 98-101 not 93-95mph. car seems to be running fine..all stock except hypertech chip, moroso cai, stage 2 shift kit. magnaflow catback.

car is 93 ta. with a4-323's.. around 130,000miles on it. do you think new plugs, coil, wires would help...dosen't seem to be missing...I just notice that every other car I race seems to have a higher trap speed even if I win..like today I beat a srt4... my 15.121 at 93.89. to his 15.004 at 95.21
but my r/t was a .372 to his .774 so it says I won by .2853 which was to close....

sorry for long post. but any ideas why my trap speed is so low..thanks..

Do a compression test.

Oh and a problem with higher mileage cars is sometimes a clogged fuel filter or a tired fuel pump.

If you went to mokan that track sucks. Nothing good about that track. my best with my mods was a 13.9 i think. Go to Rogersville (OIR) that is a little better.

Ditch the hypertech and get a pcmforless tune.

dont be too hard on the times cuz mine was running 14.3@96 with the same mods. i was a little mad too, but i bought a stall and put some LT's with some sticky tires and ran 13.03@101(??). also work on those 60ft's and you should see better times. with sticky tires and good weather you can get into the 13's or damn close.

i was running 13.8's on a 100 shot because my fuel pump was pretty much shot and wasnt getting the fuel i needed. Well I upgraded to a 255lph and a 150 shot and beat a 13.0 35th SS by 2 - 2 1/2 cars last weekend. So I think the fuel pump really helped me

130,000miles ... Your engine probably can use some nice reworking if your serious about cutting times. I think those are pretty good times for the mileage on your car, and the minimal mods you have. Can't expect an older engine to run as hard as a younger LT-1.

Why not? 130k is not over the hill. Mustang 5.0s are proven to get faster once they get over 100k.

Do a good tune up and it will run fine.
