Went to the track, kinda happy
Hey guys. I went to the track today for the first time with the LT1. It ran pretty good considering I think. It ran better then most 4th gens out there. I have the mods in the sig, the only thign I did different was put the stock coilsprings in the rear, one airbag at 20 psi, and MT ET STreets (16" version). The car ran a best of 13.33 at 103.97 mph (and 104.8 mph on a 13.48 pass). This is in Calgary, Alberta at over 3500 feet altitude and not the greatest air. This is about 12.79 at 109.8 mph corrected or so. Is that good for my mods? Best 60-foot was 1.84! I was happy, stock LS1s were in the low-mid 14s, stock LT1s are in the high 14s and stock 5.0L Fox-body stangs are in the low 15s/high high 14s stock. Thanks guys.
Those are some really strange times...especially for the LS1's....and if stock 5.0's are running high 14's then the LT1 drivers must suck...I have no idea how to gauge our time, although it does seem pretty darn good for what you have....but like I said those times seem a little off....even at that altitude....
